In my experience one of the biggest problems struggling internet marketers face is…

Trying to do it all alone.

It’s pretty much impossible for your business to grow past a certain point without getting some help, quite simply because you do not have enough hours in the day to do it all yourself.

You probably don’t have all the required skill sets either.

I know why people fall into this trap. Often people turn to internet marketing as a way to earn more money.

Why?

Because they’re broke and they want to learn how to make extra income, nothing wrong with that.

But this is where it starts to go wrong.

During their search of trying to find a way to make money online, people will often fall for the lies of one of the gurus, who tell them it’s going to be easy. Because the guru knows their market is broke and desperate for money at that particular time in their life, they fail to mention the realistic costs involved of running a profitable, systematized business.

They forget to mention the work involved… Creating websites, learning marketing principles and actually getting good at it, driving traffic, getting leads, writing content, creating excellent products, split testing, running social media accounts, setting up tracking and analytics, creating funnels, webinars, emails, podcasts, guest blogs, videos, making sales, customer service.

The list could go on and on.

My point is this…

Online business is not some lazy way to make money, it’s a real business that requires time, expertise and effort, there are lot’s of moving parts if you really want to make it work.

With each new idea and project, the “to do list” gets bigger and bigger, and so does the overwhelm, stress and inevitably the disappointment.

Most people give up.

It’s a sad tale but totally avoidable.

I promise you, that you can’t do it alone, unless you’re god or superman or you can somehow do amazing things that the rest of us can’t.

Take a look at any successful online marketer, they have help and support, a team of people behind them doing the work that needs to be done. They have webmasters, SEO people, personal assistants, graphic designers, you name it, they have it done by someone else, they aren’t the ones doing it. Many don’t even answer their own emails.

This of course is not feasible for the start up business, funds and resources are limited. I totally get that. So don’t go crazy with it, be smart.

My advice is to do the most affordable and highly leveraged thing…

Outsource overseas to skilled workers in the Philippines or India.

Take your most mundane, repetitive, time sucking tasks and give them to someone else. You would be surprised by how much work will taken off of your shoulders, giving you more time to do the most important, highly leveraged tasks only.

If you live in the western world it’s cheap for you but it’s good money for people in developing countries who are ready, willing and waiting to work for you. It’s a win-win for everyone involved.

I’m such a big believer in this that when consulting with clients, I make it part of my terms of working with them that they must be willing to get extra help because one man bands and solopreneurs take forever to see results, if they even make it that far. I know they will reach their goals 4 to 5 times faster doing it this way.

If you have been stuck in a rut and have been making very little progress, ask yourself, what daily tasks are you currently doing, that you shouldn’t be? If there are some (and I bet there probably is) then do yourself the biggest favor ever and get some help, you won’t regret it.
